I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this sooner! I get ridiculously excited when this arrives in my snail mail box every other month…
I write a column for a trade magazine called Craft Business… Yep, me! According to their website it is the, “UK’s largest circulated and most frequently published craft trade magazine”. I’ve been doing it (for free) since January 2012. My article is about up and coming trends in the crafting world.

So what are the craft trends? I do a little research (i.e. absurd amounts of pinning/ pin stalking paired with hours and hours of blog reading) and put together what I think is the latest and greatest in the wonderful world of DIY/crafts.
For the January/ February issue… I wrote about bold, retro color combinations, color blocking, maps, ombre, and the ikat pattern (remember my canvas?). Check out this pinterest screen shot… I’m lovin’ the pink and orange combo or would you ever have thought to put violet, gold, and turquoise together? In DIY world, I’ve been eying color blocked shoes and clutches.
For the March/ April article… I wrote about the explosion of inspiration found on pinterest, using recycled and up-cycled materials (light fixture from paint sticks), and the many, many applications for washi tape (wall paper, clock, cork board). Here is my second article in print!

For the May/ June issue, in my humble opinion,
