Welcome to day 2 of simple halloween craft week! Today I bring you halloween coasters…
Here’s this weeks schedule:
- Tuesday: Newspaper print Halloween crafts + scrap bunting
- Today: Halloween coasters
- Thursday: Recycled keyboard letter pumpkin
- Friday: Yard ghosts
The coasters are sitting under the keyboard pumpkin, see ‘em?

It’s no lie that I heart halloween, and everything that goes with it. Costumes, haunted houses, ghosts, goblins, candy, and super simple halloween crafts. I was recently I was asked if I wanted to be part of Martha Stewart Halloween craft campaign. Uh, duh! Of course I want to craft with Martha. This delicious package of goodies arrived on my door stop, and I started crafting like a manic.
All of these goodies can be purchased at Michael’s, just in case you’re wondering. I made a set of everyday coasters not too long ago. (Here is that post.) Remember, I begged my little brother to chop up a large branch I found last Christmas at my parents house? Long story short, I have enough tree branch slices to make a set of 4 coasters for every holiday, and I might do just that : ) First up, Halloween coasters. Steven used a chop saw to slice up a tree branch. Then, I painted the wood slices white, with Martha Stewart craft paints, of course!
I love the tiny Martha stencils. The picture below show the comparison of the tiny stencils (on the bottom) to the regular size stencils (on the top). With the tiny ones, you get 46 stencil shapes all in one package. I see the tiny carrot and the tiny arrow in my crafting future.
I used the grey paint, tiny stencil, and paint brush to stencil the cat on my coaster.

Here are the 3 coasters stenciled. I got crazy and decided to paint one orange. I used a sharpie to draw on a jack o lantern face.
And here’s the pumpkin face…
I think my favorite coaster is the tiny ghost face. I love how he peeks out frrom under the coffee mug!
Which coaster do you like best? Be sure and visit Plaid Online for more product information, videos, and how-to’s. You can also connect with Plaid Crafts on Facebook, Twitter + Pinterest. Are you Halloween obsessed? What’s your favorite part? If I had a 2 year old, I’d so make him dress up like Bob Ross. Do you love candy and costumes? Do you hate the candy wrapped in the orange and black wrappers. Me too. It’s so gross. Have you made any crafty Halloween decorations yet? I’d love to hear…
*Please note that I received product and payment via The Blueprint Social for this post. As always, all opinions are 100% my own. For more information, check out my disclosure statement.

I love that ghost one where it looks as if he’s peeking out from the mug.
