Football Party {World Market}

Do you have a favorite recipe to feed a crowd? I love doing make-your-own food stations. I get to relax and everyone gets to have a meal exactly how they like it. It’s a win-win! I decided to do a nacho bar for game day festivities. (Here are 16 more food station ideas.) It’s nacho average game day party, it’s extra cheesy (pun intended)!

All of the nacho bar materials were purchased at World Market… well and the beer and most of the table decor! Here’s the official, gourmet, nacho bar “recipe.” It’s super simple: open up the packages and dump each ingredient into a separate bowl. Voila! It’s cheesy and delicious.  Oh and stress free, simple, and yummy! Here’s what I used for the nacho bar:

  • Blue corn tortilla chips
  • White corn tortilla chips
  • Tequila salsa
  • Jalapeno salsa
  • Mrs. Renfro’s jalapenos
  • Ballpark nacho sauce
  • Black bean nacho sauce
  • Sour cream

I also used salami, cheese, crackers, delicious chocolate biscuits, football shaped pretzels, and jelly beans for extra snacks on the table.

As for the beer, I left that up to the pro. I can shop for cute stuff (I love browsing/ dreaming about buying sofas, chairs, and furniture!) while Andy happily investigates (and purchases) lots of exotic beer. World Market is fun for husband and wife… Another win-win! Andy thoroughly enjoyed picking out (and drinking) these build your own 6-packs (and I loved that they were on sale)!

world marketAs for the table, I used lots of World Market serving items and lots of items I already had on hand.

Here are the World Market items I used:

1. The galvanized tin for serving beer

2. 3 tier serving tray

3. Long white serving dish

4. 4 green place mats

5. White cake stand

A birds eye view of the table decor… I used the springs from the chair reupholstery project as nacho topping holders! world market

I cut the NACHOS letters out of felt, and filled mason jars with green clippings from the backyard and handmade signs taped on straws. Fancy, right?! Maybe not… but certainly masculine, inexpensive and cute!world market

  3. Using springs to hold the bowls? Genius! I love the idea of a nacho bar. We’ve done chili and plenty of other bars, but never this. Will definitely be using this for the big game. I love how everything was so reasonably priced!
