What’s a favicon and how to make one…

I figured out how to add a personalized favicon today… it’s super easy… a for real 3 minutes easy (assuming you have a graphic saved on your computer that you want to use)! 

This is a favicon:

The favicon also shows up here:

To make your own, click the edit button under the design tab of your blogger blog:

This box shows up:

Then browse in your files and find the image you want to use. I used this:

Then click save, and voila your done. You have a personalized favicon! My favicon (i like that word!) took a few hours to appear. I feel like this makes my blog look more official and professional :)

      Hey I tried this but it just kep telling me my image wasn't square. Do you know if there's exact dimensions that it has to be? Thanks

      I just did this the other day!

      Emily I don't think so..I did mine at 125×125 pixels. I think it just needs to be square.

      I used the size of your image up above to make my own personal for my blog (anfnewsnow.blogspot.com). I uploaded mine to the favicon box. It shows up on the favicon box in the Layout page. However, when I go to the homepage of my blog the Blogger icon is still showing up. Any ideas as to why?
