How to decorate shelves

The following simple rules are just my humble opinion…I am NOT an expert…just an enthusiast

5: Spray paint can makes things pretty

1: COLLECTING: The tea pot is so cute, and was stored in my cabinet, same with the pitcher…The 3 pictures were hanging above the desk… I REFUSE to buy anything to set on a shelf! Scavenge in your kitchen cabinets, laundry room, garage, and closets!

2: STILL COLLECTING, BEGINNING TO ARRANGE, & NOTICE COLOR COMBOS: the glass vases were drug out from the disaster area I call a laundry room, the white bowl sits on my counter and collects random food items… cooper cookie cutters were found in the white bowl! I liked the teapot thing I had going…but I only have 2..and the black one doesn’t pop…

3: COLLECTIONS: I found a another pieces of green glass…now I have 2–getting closer to a collection… I also decided to throw the koozies in the pitcher…I LOVE organization!  I like the bowl, but all the white is boring…need variety. Stole the green apples from my kitchen to fill the bowl. Not sure what to do with the little cross stitched pictures, but I like that they add interest, color, and variety.

HEIGHT VARIANCE: The top shelf is coming together. I like that the glass vases are a collection and varying heights. I like the 3 pictures, but want the right one to grow a little higher… HANG it one the wall! I stole the giant green clothes pin from the living room…Hey, I need a green collection!

ROUND 5 was the winner…I hung up the pictures, and decided I was done!
