Hey C.R.A.F.T readers! I’m so happy to be here guest posting. It’s so exciting. Let me introduce myself. I’m Tonia the creative mind behind
Today I am going to do a tutorial for these awesome flower ribbon clips. They are one of my favorite things to make. I am not so great at tutorials because my brain functions differently than normal people. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
Your supply list:
3/8″ ribbon
7/8″ ribbon
Buttons
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Alligator clips
Lighter (not pictured)
Start off by cutting your ribbon. You can do it any length you want, I did mine about 3 inches. Cut five pieces of each size ribbon per flower you are making. Then using your lighter heat seal them. Am I making sense so far?
Then cut the 3/8″ ribbon to cover your Alligator clips. Heat seat them.
Then hot glue the ribbon to the clips.
Then hot glue the ribbon to the clips.
Next you’re going to make a loop out of the 7/8″ ribbon you cut. Hot glue the ends together.
While the glue is still warm do an accordion type fold so it looks like this…
Do this to all the 7/8″ then do the loop and glue on the 3/8″. On these you only have to fold the end in half while the glue is warm like this…
How am I doin’? You still with me?
Okay now you want to take one of your buttons and glue a 7/8″ petal to it.
Go around the button until all the big petals are on. It will look like this…
Back
Front
Now glue the little petals in between the big ones.
Continue that until all the little ones are on. Then put a dot of hot glue on your covered alligator clip
And stick your flower on
And you are done!
I hope that made sense and I didn’t lose you! Seriously, if you have ANY questions please feel free to e-mail me and I will try my best to answer. [email protected].
Thank you Jamie for letting me crash your blog today! I had so much fun!!!
