C.R.A.F.T. # 56: Framed Picture Web

I am working on my multi-purpose (craft/office/ guest) room… take a look HERE!
 framed picture web
This is how the shelving turned out…with a hole in the middle where I was thinking I would put a simple cork board and paint the frame the same gray. But, then I was inspired!
The yarn web is so simple, inexpensive, and can be made to fit any space. Here’s the yarn web from my college room.
I decided to create a more sophisticated yarn web using things from around the house. I stole a frame from this wall collage…
You only need 3 things:
  • frame
  • yarn
  • scissors
A close up shot of how I secured the yarn to the frame.

Turn your frame over, and use the metal tabs to your advantage… Tie one end of the string to a metal tab, then begin winding the string around random tabs to create a web. The picture above shows how I ended the web.
I love how the frame turned out. It fills the hole up perfectly and holds lots of pictures of my friends and family!
