ABOUT ME

Creating with freebies has been happening since I can remember. I grew up with a wonderfully crafty mom who would take me to Good Will to my little heart’s content. The free part is easy when you are a kid with no money! (check out my fancy college decor and zebra corn lamp) I discovered blog world while reading family blogs, and came across one with links to craft blogs. I was hooked. Seriously, I started C.RA.F.T. the day after I saw my first craft blog (Ucreate). I’ve grown and changed a lot as a blogger, writer, and (pseudo) photographer, but my love for DIY-ing with freebies has never changed. I’ve always loved acronyms, and C.R.A.F.T. (Creating Really Awesome Free Things) fit perfectly! It was one of those “aha!” moments. The “C” first stood for crafting, but soon changed to creating… I wanted to leave the doors open to creating trips, parties, recipes, or whatever else pops up! I’ve been blogging and loving it since February 2010.

I live in south Florida with my husband, Andy. We moved from our home state of Texas in February 2012. (Read more about our moving related adventures here.) I owned my first home, but we now live in a rental, I call Sunny. It’s hard making a rental cute without paint and putting a bazillion holes in wall. I try my best while over sharing all the deets, here on C.R.A.F.T.

Oh and then 18 months later, we moved back to Texas. That’s right, we’re nuts : )
