First of all, can you guess what the table runner is made out of? My mom guessed a no skid rug pad. I’ll give you one more guess…
It’s a no slip shelf liner from the Dollar Store. Here’s the story… Tulip sent me a goodie box full of sparkly greatness. I needed a surface to craft up, and ended up at the Dollar Store looking for a plain white dish towel. There were no plain dish towels to be found. I needed a new plan. The shelf liner appeared in front of me. And voila, it was the perfect shape for a table runner. Done and done. This sucker takes less than 10 minutes and costs under $5.
Here’s what you need:
- Tulip shimmer transfer sheets
- 1 roll of shelf liner
- iron
- circle cut out
Use your circle cut out to cut circles from the shimmer transfer sheets.
Arrange your cut outs randomly on the shelf liner. Then, place a thin cloth over the deign and iron on your design. Hold iron on the design for 40 or so seconds, check to make sure it stuck. If not, no worries, just iron again!

Under 10 minutes and super festive… my kind of craft. Oh and and the glitter transfer sheets are mess free. A major plus in my book! See what other fun holiday projects crafty bloggers made with their Tulip products:
